Complete step-by-step cleaning guide for the SD501DX ionizer. Learn when and how to perform e-cleaning, how to clean the electrodes and when to replace the filter.
Cleaning guides for other devices:
The SD501DX features a built-in automatic electrode cleaning system that activates after each use of the device.
Automatic
The ionizer automatically reverses electrode polarity after each operating cycle, preventing limescale build-up. No user intervention required.Every 1–2 weeks
With harder water or after extended use, more frequent weekly cleaning with E-Cleaner powder is necessary to remove accumulated scale.Important: Automatic cleaning does not replace E-Cleaning. With hard water (above 250 mg/l CaCO₃), scale deposits build up despite daily auto-cleaning and require chemical removal.
Complete step-by-step E-Cleaning procedure in accordance with Enagic instructions. The device display guides you through each stage — below you will find a translation of every on-screen message.
