Alkaline ORP water — what do scientific studies say?

"Electrolysed ionised water exhibits strong antioxidant properties due to the presence of active molecular hydrogen."

Since 2007, more than 1,200 peer-reviewed scientific studies have been published confirming the properties of molecular hydrogen (H₂) — the gas present in K8 water during electrolysis. Studies indicate potential in reducing oxidative stress, supporting recovery and cellular protection.

The K8 produces water with a negative ORP — that is, water that has the ability to "donate" electrons to free radicals and neutralise them. This is the opposite of most beverages (coffee: +300 mV, cola: +400 mV), which need your electrons to function.

The price is very high. Is it really worth that much money?
I understand. But let's do the math: a family of 4 buys about 400 bottles of water a year — that's about PLN 1,200–1,600. After 5 years, that's PLN 6,000–8,000 thrown away on plastic. The K8 pays for itself within a few years and lasts 25+. The real question is: can you afford to keep buying bottled water?
How do I know Kangen water really works? It sounds like marketing.
Healthy skepticism is valuable. That's why I recommend the research — not my words. Over 1200 peer-reviewed scientific publications on the properties of H₂ are available in PubMed. The Class II medical certification from Japan is issued by a government institution, not a marketing company. I can also show you how to check the ORP with a home meter.
I have poor tap water. Will the ionizer cope?
The good news: the Kangen ionizer first filters the water through the FC1 filter, and only then ionizes it. In the case of harder water or a poorer-quality supply I can help you choose an additional pre-filter the Ultra-E, which will solve the problem. I've tested the K8 in various regions of Poland — it always copes well.

Leveluk K8 vs SD501DX — which ionizer to choose?

What sets the K8 apart from the SD501DX — is it worth paying more?
The K8 has 8 plates (vs 7 in the SD501DX), which translates into higher ORP (−722 mV vs −631 mV) and greater capacity at the same quality. The SD501DX is excellent for a typical family of 4. I recommend the K8 when: (1) you have 4+ people at home and use water intensively, (2) you want maximum ORP for health purposes, (3) you use pH 11.5 water for cooking and cleaning. If you're unsure — call, and we'll discuss your situation.
How long does K8 installation take and do I need a plumber?
Installing the K8 takes 10–15 minutes and requires no plumber or drilling. You connect the device to your existing kitchen faucet using the included adapter. Instructions are included, and I offer phone and video support — call me during installation if you have any questions.
When does the filter need replacing and how much does it cost?
The FC1 filter needs replacing after about 6,000 liters of water (the K8 announces this by voice and on the display). For a family of 4, that's roughly once a year. The cost of the original Enagic filter is about PLN 490. Remember: that's cheaper than a few months of bottled water of the same quality for a family.
Is the K8 suitable for hard water?
Yes. The K8 handles harder water thanks to the automatic electrolysis cleaning system after each use. In areas with very hard water (>300 mg/l CaCO₃) I recommend adding the Ultra-E pre-filter, which additionally softens the water and extends the life of the plates. I can check your water parameters before purchase — just write or call.
What is the price of the Leveluk K8 and is the water ionizer available in installments?
The Kangen K8 price is €4,600 net (€5,520 gross incl. 20% VAT). For businesses, the net price applies. Yes, I offer the option to spread payments — get in touch and we'll discuss financing options tailored to your budget. The Enagic K8 is an investment that pays for itself within 5–10 years through savings on bottled water.
Can I send the device in for service?
Yes. We offer full service and technical support. In case of a malfunction, you send the device to us by courier, and after repair we send it back to your home. The 5-year warranty covers parts and service labor.
